Meet NeatoPOD: The Shop Behind Your Next Hunky Tops Tee

I want to tell you about a change I've been working on for a while, because you deserve to know where your shirts come from.

Starting now, Hunky Tops is partnering with NeatoPOD for all printing. That means every tee you order from here on out goes through a small, indie, U.S.-based print shop that does everything in-house. No middlemen. No mystery.

Here's the full story.

Where We've Been: Printify

For a while, Hunky Tops used Printify to fulfill orders. If you're not familiar with how it works: Printify is a marketplace, not a print shop. When you place an order, it gets routed to one of many different third-party print providers in their network. Each provider has its own equipment, its own standards, and its own version of "good enough."

That model makes sense when you're just starting out. It's fast, it's affordable, and it gets shirts out the door. But the tradeoff is real: color accuracy varies. Print quality can be inconsistent from one order to the next. The shirts look great in the mockups, and most of the time they look great in real life too. Most of the time.

And then there's the shipping. Printify recently moved a lot of orders over to OnTrac, a carrier with a well-earned reputation for losing packages and going dark on tracking. That was the last straw.

The Hunky Tribe deserves better than "most of the time."

Where We're Going: NeatoPOD

NeatoPOD is a different kind of operation. They print everything in-house using DTG (direct-to-garment), which means every shirt gets the same equipment, the same process, and the same eye on quality. No outsourcing. No variability based on which provider picks up your order.

They're rated 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot. In a category where reviews tend to skew rough, that says something.

I heard directly from Alex, the owner, and this is what he had to say:

"We're excited to help Hunky Tops print their tees! As an indie print shop, we recognize the need for high quality print and size inclusivity. For example, we're one of the few, if not the only, print shop that print up to 10XL and size 26/28."

That last part? That's not a small thing.

Beyond the specs, there's something else that matters to me: who's actually behind the operation. NeatoPOD is a family-owned business based just outside Portland, Oregon. They've been at this for over 15 years. When I was looking for a new partner, I wasn't just comparing price sheets. I wanted to know whose hands my shirts were going through, and whether the people running the shop care about the same things I do. From everything I've learned talking to Alex, they do. They have a strong track record with LGBTQ+ clients, they take size inclusivity seriously enough to actually do something about it, and the whole operation has the kind of intentionality that you simply don't find in a faceless platform headquartered on the other side of the world. That alignment matters. It's part of why this felt like the right move.

What This Means for You

Same blanks, better printing. The shirts themselves haven't changed. Same blanks you already know, same fit, same feel. The difference is in what goes on them.

Better prints. DTG printed in-house means sharper detail and colors that actually match what you see on screen. The graphics on Hunky Tops shirts are bold and specific. They deserve a printer that treats them that way.

More consistent quality. Because everything runs through one shop with one process, you're not rolling the dice on which provider gets your order. What you see is what you get, every time.

Shipped via USPS. No OnTrac. No mystery carrier that eats packages and ghosts you on tracking. NeatoPOD ships domestically through USPS, which means familiar tracking, reliable delivery, and none of the drama.

Slightly longer production times. I'm not going to pretend this part doesn't exist. Because NeatoPOD prints everything in-house and to order, production and shipping times can vary depending on order volume, shipping method, and supply chain factors that are genuinely hard to predict. Rather than give you a number that might be wrong, I've set it up so that every product page on hunkytops.com shows a current delivery estimate. Check it before you buy and you'll always know what to expect. I think the wait is worth it. I hope you will too.

A Note on Size Inclusivity

This is something I care about a lot, and it's one of the reasons NeatoPOD felt like the right move.

Most print-on-demand shops cap out at 5XL. NeatoPOD goes up to 10XL and carries size 26/28. That's rare. Genuinely rare. The Hunky Tribe comes in every size, and I don't want a shop's limitations deciding who gets to wear these shirts.

If the size you need isn't listed on a product page, reach out to me directly. I'll source it straight from NeatoPOD and get you a custom quote. No one gets left out over something as fixable as a size chart.

About the Price Adjustment

Yep, prices have gone up. Better quality costs a little more, and I'd rather be clear about that than hope you don't notice. Here's where everything lands:

Style Price
T-Shirts $29.99
Tank Tops $32.99
Ringer T-Shirts $34.99
Long-Sleeve T-Shirts $38.99
Sweatshirts $48.99
Hoodies $52.99

These prices are for the sizes listed on each product page. Also worth knowing: not all sizes are available on all products, and larger sizes may come on a different blank than the standard version. If you need a size that isn't listed, reach out to me directly and I'll put together a custom quote. Sizing shouldn't be a barrier. It won't be.

One thing worth noting: our embroidery products are still fulfilled through Printify for now. I'm not satisfied with that long-term, and I'm actively looking for a more qualified provider. When that changes, you'll hear about it.

This is one of those changes that won't make a lot of noise but will show up every time you open the package. Better prints. Truer colors. Shirts that look like what I designed them to look like.

That's the goal. That's always been the goal.

Stay Hunky,
